About Me

I am an electrical engineer by degree, but have been in the custom machine building, system integration and controls engineering field for most of my career. I started teaching PLC and HMI classes about 9 years ago and have also published several technical books during that time. I created the Automation Academy website in 2020 just after Covid and a tornado changed how I present my training. I also play guitar, travel and play Chess and Go for fun.
