I self publish with Ingram Spark, which is fortunately located right here in Nashville. It is much cheaper than using so-called “vanity publishers”, and you control and own all of your material unlike working with major publishers. My first book was published by McGraw-Hill, and while it was an ego boost, I don’t think I would ever go that route again.
